Macao-Style Pork Spare Ribs Asado

Pork ribs asado is one of many Filipino dishes that is influenced from Chinese cooking, using the star anise. This recipe is very straight forward. Mix sauce ingredients together, pour over ribs, bake, and eat.
Spare ribs work the best for braising due to the fat content. Make sure to have these cut in between the bone to allow them to cook a little faster. If you want smaller bite sized pieces, have your butcher slice them into 3 strips horizontally, then cut in between the bone.
