Chinese Fried Eggs
This is a great way to cook eggs if you want a little something more than your traditional sunny side up style. These eggs have the perfect balance of salty/savory/sweet/spicy, with a hint of acidity from the vinegar. Ready in less than 10 minutes, these eggs are best served over steamed rice or stir fried noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 large eggs
- 2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
- cracked black pepper
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 green onion finely chopped
Sauce
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 3 tsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tsp chili crisp
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Mix together the sauce ingredients. Set aside.

- Melt butter in a small egg pan over medium heat. Crack in the eggs. Sprinkle over the minced garlic. Season with cracked black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

- Pour over the sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.

- Top with green onion and sesame seeds. Cook for 1-2 more minutes depending on your egg doneness liking.
